Welcome
Welcome to Vilnius and the 169th meeting of the COST
Committee of Senior Officials (CSO)!
Vilnius is a heart of Lithuania, a city with an interesting
landscape, architecture of different style, magnificent
history and exciting culture. Three days is not enough to be
familiar with Vilnius.
I would like to welcome CSO President, CSO members, JAF
(Legal, administrative and financial affairs) Group members
and Domain Committees (DC) Chairs, as well as guests from
COST office, COST secretariat, European Commission and
others to the capital of Lithuania.

Lithuania is a member of COST since 1999. Agency
for International Science and Technology
Development Programmes is responsible for
administration of COST at national level,
dissemination of information and funding
national research institutions participating in
COST. I am very happy that the meeting of the
CSO is held for the first time in Lithuania.
The CSO meeting will be held on 15-16th of
November in the conference center of the hotel
“Panorama” in the Old town. On 14th of November
JAF and DC Chairs' meeting will take place in
the same conference center. DC Chairs are
invited to attend the joint meeting with JAF on
14th and with the CSO on 15th of November.
